Come check out Michaels Arts and Crafts all weekend as your children unlock their "inner" artist. Michaels is providing all of the materials for these free crafts. Don't forget to register for the many great prizes Michaels is giving away!
Students from Edinboro University's Early Childhood/Special Education Department will be on hand Friday and Saturday to make free crafts with your children.
Come check out Claytopia on Saturday and Sunday to make artistic clay tiles. Children can paint their tiles free at the festival and then visit Claytopia's shop to have them fired.
Little Diva Day Spa, Erie's newest and most unique party headquarters for girls and boys, will be on hand all weekend to provide face painting, glitter tattoos, and Sundae Soap projects. Small artwork for face painting only costs $1-$2 per design/child. More elaborate face painting, glitter tattoos, and Sundae Soap projects are available for a nominal fee.
*Please note that LDDS is providing materials and professional guidance only to our volunteers for the face painting. Small artwork is not a true representation of LDDS's traditional services.
**Disclaimer - The Arts Festival and/or LDDS is NOT responsible for allergic reactions that may result from the face paint used - proceed at buyer's discretion.
Ahoy Mates! Step back in time to the era of Oliver Hazard Perry and his shipbuilding crews. On Sunday, the Master shipbuilders from The Home Depot will enlist your children as apprentices. Children will learn the art of shipbuilding using hand tools and then paint their vessels any color they wish.
A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of our sponsors this year. Without your generous funding, material donations, and volunteering, our area would not be a vibrant area to engage children in art.
We also want to thank our dedicated volunteers from Girl Scout Troop #30539, Cathedral Preparatory School, Villa Maria Academy, Mercyhurst Preparatory School, the various schools in the Erie Catholic Diocese, and General Electric. Without your dedication, we wouldn't be able to offer these activities for the children. THANK YOU
